OKX Tutorial. Welcome to our OKX Tutorial. In this section we are going to guide you on how to open an account in OKX, enable Futures Trading, create a subaccount and API Keys for this account. So, let’s start.

Step 1

Open an account in OKX here.

Step 2

On your Dashboard page click on your icon and then select verification. Follow the verification procedure and always remember to type your name exactly how it appears on your Bank Statement and on your Proof of Residence document.

Step 3

You have two ways to send funds to OKX. The first one is to use their fiat gateway.

Select Buy Crypto and then Third-Party payment.

Then select any of the available methods to send EUR to OKX and receive USDT directly.

The other way is to send USDT from Kraken to OKX. See our Kraken Tutorial here.

Go to your upper-right section of your screen and select Assets and the Deposit.

Send only USDT to OKX with the TRON Network (TRC-20, TRX).

Step 4

Once you receive a confirmation e mail about the successful deposit you can then make the internal transfer to your trading account.

Go to Assets on the upper-right side of your screen and then select transfer.

Send the USDT from your Funding Account to the Trading Account.

Step 5

Now in this stage if you have selected to use our Trading Engine along with 3Commas to set up your own Bots then leave OKX open and open your 3Commas account and follow our Trading Engine Tutorial from Step 8 and onwards.

Now in the next steps we will show you how to open a subaccount in OKX and generate an API Key.

Step 6

Click on your account avatar and select Sub-accounts.

Input a Login ID for your subaccount and a password. Also enable deposits for your subaccount.

In the next page, select your subaccount to be switchable and then click on transfer.

At the from Tab select the Main Account, (in our case we have transferred the USDT to the Main Trading Account, but your USDT will be in the Main Account Funding Wallet). Select max and then transfer.

Step 7

Go to your account avatar and select switch account and then select your subaccount.

A new page will open, go to your account avatar and now you must see the Sub-account green label. Then select API Keys.

Step 8

In this phase OKX will ask you to enable 2FA in your subaccount. Please do so and the return to this step again and press API Keys.

Give a name to your API key. At the passphrase enter a password and save it in order to be able to edit the API key. Also select trade in the permissions.

In this final step copy and paste your keys in a word document or just click on the Copy API info and paste it into the word document. Then press confirm. You are now ready to connect your subaccount to any third-party platform. After you connect it please delete the word document from your computer.
